What the Property Needed
The homeowner wanted to increase the usable height of the basement while maintaining the structural stability of the home. Because lowering a basement affects the existing foundation, the work needed to be completed carefully and in controlled stages.

After reviewing the basement and existing foundation, Aluneed developed an underpinning approach suited to the property. The work involved excavating below the existing foundation in planned sections and extending the foundation to support the new basement depth.

Project Outcome
